The Gyprock range of standard Base Coats are all products which ‘set’ through a chemical reaction rather than dry through evaporation of water. This results in stronger joints with controlled working times after mixing. The specialist Wet Area Base Coat is a premixed drying type compound.

Gyprock® Base Coat 45

Product description : Gyprock Base Coat 45 is a specially formulated base compound used for the first and second coat in a three coat plasterboard jointing system. Joints may be finished with any Gyprock topping or all-purpose compound and sanded smooth prior to decoration.

Gyprock® Wet Area Base Coat

Product description : Gyprock Wet Area Base Coat is a moisture resistant base compound used for the first and second coat in a three coat plasterboard jointing system in wet areas. Joints may be finished with any Gyprock topping or all-purpose compound and sanded smooth prior to decoration. Where walls are to be tiled, no finish coat is required.

Gyprock® Easy-Base™

Product description : Gyprock Easy-Base is a semi-lightweight, taping compound available in a pre-mixed form. Easy-Base is for the first and second coats only, and is ideal on job sites where water access is limited and in very hot and dry conditions where a plaster base coat is at increased risk of drying out before setting.
